I began photographing for Seibukan Karate Club several years ago, just documenting their events, but as I have continued the images seem to have taken on a life of their own. Not only have I seen a natural progression in the quality of work, but I have been able to develop a unique insight into a culture steeped in history and tradition that most people never get the chance to see, let alone become a part of.
